What is the Digital Photo Alliance?

The "DPA" is a group of freelance photographers in TX who share a passion for digital photography and who take pride in producing professional results.

Current DPA members live and work in the Austin area. Other local chapters across Texas will be added as demand grows. Contact us if you're interested in setting up a DPA chapter in your Texas Metro area.

Who Joins the DPA?

Photographers at all levels of experience (part-time and full-time) who have working knowledge of photography and an understanding of how to use their own "pro-sumer" or professional-grade DSLR Camera and other modern photographic equipment.

Some members are full-time professionals and some are amateur “parent-turned-photographer” who have the necessary skills and artistry to help others and who desire to learn more by shooting actual events.

Why Join the DPA?

DPA Members work together to help each other cover events, share profits from events, share equipment, share knowledge, help each other develop our individual businesses and work together as needed -- we all become friends.

What are the Membership Requirements?

Not all photographers meet our membership requirements. We endeavor to form an alliance of folks who can consistently produce professional photographic results which attain the group's agreed upon benchmarks. Photographers wishing to become members should also consider their geographic availability in order to collaborate on photographic projects with other members.

How much is the Membership Fee?

The DPA is currently in a developmental stage. At this time there is NO MEMBERSHIP FEE to join the DPA. Beginning August 1st, 2009, the annual membership fee will be $150.
